Black flowers are weirdly hard to find in the plant world, which is exactly why Black Violas are so much fun. 🖤

Their petite blooms are such a deep, velvety purple that they appear almost black, giving you a completely different way to add color to fall and winter containers.

And these little things are ridiculously easy to pair. Put them next to orange and yellow flowers for Halloween, mix them with whites and silvers for something moodier, or tuck them around pumpkins and gourds for a fall container that doesn't look like everybody else's.

Best of all, Violas LOVE cooler weather. Once South Alabama finally decides it's fall, they'll happily keep blooming through the cooler months.

🌿 Growth Habit: Compact, low-growing, and mounding

🪴 Great For: Fall containers, flower beds, borders, window boxes, Halloween displays, and mixing with other cool-season flowers

💧 Water: Water when the soil begins to dry. Keep evenly moist while establishing, but don't leave them sitting in soggy soil.

✂️ Care: Remove old blooms as needed to keep plants looking tidy and encourage continued flowering. Feed periodically during the growing season.

🌡️ South Alabama Tip: Violas thrive during our cooler weather but will begin to decline once serious summer heat arrives.
