When most trees are winding down for the year, the Cassia Tree is just getting started.
In late summer and into fall, it explodes with brilliant golden-yellow blooms that light up the landscape right when everything else begins to fade. Around South Alabama, there's simply nothing else that creates this kind of show. It's one of the rarest trees we carry, incredibly hard to find, and hands-down the most dependable yellow-flowering tree for our area.
A hard winter freeze may send it back to the ground, but don't count it out. Its roots are tough as nails, and by spring it's already charging back, growing quickly and getting ready for another spectacular season.

📏 Size: 15 to 20 ft. tall × 10 to 15 ft. wide (fast growing)
🌼 Bloom Time: Late summer through fall with huge clusters of glowing golden flowers
🧊 Cold Hardy: Root hardy. A hard freeze may kill the top growth, but it reliably returns from the roots each spring.
🌱 Soil: Well-drained soil is best
🚿 Water: Average water. Drought tolerant once established.
