There’s something about Foxgloves that makes a garden feel like it belongs in a storybook. Their tall flower spikes rise above the rest of the garden, covered in colorful, bell-shaped blooms that add height, movement, and that slightly wild cottage-garden look.
Plant them this fall and you may enjoy a few blooms during the cooler months, but the big show comes next March. Once the weather begins warming up, Foxgloves take off and explode with blooms!
Plant them toward the middle or back of a flower bed, then surround them with shorter flowers. They’re especially beautiful in perennial beds, pollinator gardens, and any spot where you want the garden to feel lush, layered, and a little less perfectly planned.
