Nightfly Amaryllis
If traditional red Amaryllis feels a little too predictable, Nightfly Amaryllis is the one to watch. Its rich, dark blooms bring a moodier look to the classic holiday Amaryllis and make a gorgeous statement all on their own.
Amaryllis are one of our favorite bulbs for winter because so much happens in such a short amount of time. Watch the flower stalk emerge, stretch taller and taller, and finally open into those big, dramatic blooms.
🌸 Plant Details
☀️ Light: Bright light indoors. A sunny window is ideal.
📏 Size: Upright flower stalks rise above the foliage, creating a tall, dramatic display.
🌸 Flowers: Rich, dark-colored blooms held on tall stems
🪴 Great For: Holiday decorating, tabletops, sunny windows, gifts, and winter color
💧 Water: Water sparingly until active growth begins, then water when the top of the soil begins to dry. Never allow the bulb to sit in soggy soil.
🌱 After Blooming: Remove the spent flower stalk but leave the green foliage. Continue giving the plant light, water, and fertilizer so the bulb can store energy for another bloom cycle.
⚠️ Good to Know: Amaryllis can be toxic if eaten, so keep away from pets and children who may chew on plants.
