Most plants wait until spring to show off. Pink Variegated Winter Daphne doesn’t.
Right in the middle of winter, when the garden is pretty quiet, clusters of sweet-smelling pink flowers appear. And the fragrance is incredible. Plant it near a porch, walkway, or somewhere you’ll pass often, because you’ll usually smell it before you notice it blooming.
Even without flowers, it’s beautiful. The evergreen leaves are deep green with creamy yellow edges, giving you color year-round. It’s also unusual, hard to find, and one of those plants that makes people ask, “What is THAT?”
