For years people around here have asked us the same question.
“JD… can you actually grow bananas in South Alabama?”
And the honest answer used to be… not really.
Until now. 🍌🌿
We just got our hands on something brand new and it’s blowing our minds… the Truly Tiny Banana Plant.
This little plant is a game changer.
Instead of growing into a giant 15-foot jungle monster, this banana stays small enough to grow in a pot. That means when winter rolls in, you simply move it inside and keep it alive instead of watching it freeze back every year.
And here’s the wild part.
You can grow real bananas in Dothan, Alabama.
Not someday.
Not maybe.
About 12–18 months after planting, this thing can produce actual bananas.
And the one you'll get already has a head start, so you may get some THIS FALL!
It’s tropical.
It’s weirdly adorable.
And it’s one of those plants that makes people stop and say,
“Wait… that’s a banana tree?!”
If you’ve ever wanted to grow something that feels a little bit like a backyard science experiment and a tropical vacation at the same time… this is it. 🌴🍌
The future of banana growing in South Alabama just got very, very small.
