Most of the garden is asleep for winter. White Variegated Winter Daphne apparently didn’t get the memo.
In the middle of winter, clusters of beautiful white flowers appear with an incredible fragrance. Plant it near a porch, walkway, or entrance, because you’ll often smell it before you even see it.
The foliage is just as good, with evergreen green leaves edged in creamy yellow. It’s unusual, hard to find, and beautiful year-round.
Mature Size: 3–4' tall × 3–4' wide Light: Lots of shade or filtered light. Protect from hot afternoon sun. Bloom: Winter into early spring Water: Moderate; keep moist while establishing Soil: Rich and VERY well-drained Hardiness: Zones 7–9 Foliage: Evergreen
Give it plenty of shade, excellent drainage, and a permanent home. Daphne prefers not to be moved once established.
A rare winter bloomer with white flowers and a fragrance you won’t forget.
